I am licensed in Learning Disabilities, but also have a Master's degree in Human Services, specializing in Criminal Justice. I teach scholars with varying learning needs across all grade levels.  The course I am currently teaching is Reading Resource.

Reading Resource is a English Language Arts course tailored for scholars that require a smaller group class setting or individual instruction with a special education teacher in another setting outside of the general education classroom. Instruction will focus on language arts, reading and writing according to the scholars needs and MN state standards.  The Reading Resource curriculum incorporates a variety of reading and writing experiences designed to help scholars develop effective strategies for reading and writing.  The ultimate goal is to ensure full access to the general education curriculum and programming to scholars with special needs through the implementation of differentiation and scaffolding.

I have been working in the MPS district since 2004 and have been teaching at Franklin since the 2016-2017 school year.  I look forward to each new journey with optimism and determination to make it inspirational and worthwhile!
